Trio started business back in the days when PCs were a new concept and small-businesses were crying out for computer systems. In those days people talked about 'transportable computers', rather than 'laptops' - because you needed a forklift just to get them off the ground!
We started by developing a very neat and compact set of ledgers (Sales, Purchase, Nominal) and quickly added to that a Stock Control system, then Sales and Purchase orders too.
We were soon approached by a customer who asked us to write him a system to cater for multi-dimensional products - clothes held in colour and size. This project proved so successful that we went on to sell this to other clothing companies and develop it further to handle their specific reporting and order-handling requirements.
In the 1990s we developed an integrated Bill of Materials and fabric control system for a few customers who wanted to keep track of their manufacturing departments.
As technology has advanced more and more business is being done on the internet and more of our customers are wanting a well designed and well thought out
web site. We decided this year (2003) to offer the service hence Trio Design was born.
